Hoshizaki Completes Distributor Acquisition
Plus, the manufacturer is preparing for a new development to grow its service in the western region.
Ice machine and refrigerator manufacturer Hoshizaki is heating up this winter, sharing two business updates.
For one, Hoshizaki has acquired the business of the southeastern U.S. distributor Cannon Marketing Inc. on Jan. 2. CMI operated for over 30 years, with a presence in North Carolina, South Carolina and eastern Tennessee. The company will now integrate into Hoshizaki Southeastern Distribution Center, a consolidated subsidiary based in Orlando, Fla., that looks to expand the manufacturer’s market share in commercial refrigeration and ice machines.
“This marks an important milestone as we continue to strengthen our ability to serve the market with the quality, reliability and service expected from Hoshizaki,” says Allan Dziwoki, president of Hoshizaki America. “At its core, this acquisition is about growth and alignment, allowing us to enhance our supply chain, streamline operations, and provide even greater value to our customers and partners.”
Down the Line
Further, Hoshizaki is set to open a new distribution center in the Phoenix, Arizona area this March.
Regional Sales Director Dan Cazalet says the opening will be “a pivotal event in the growth strategy of (its) western region.”
“The new warehouse and sales office will allow us to serve our customers more effectively and demonstrate our commitment to operational excellence in this vibrant, fast-growing market,” Cazalet adds.
In the meantime, Hoshizaki’s Las Vegas Distribution Center, along with Area Sales Manager Scott Rhoades, will be the main point of contact for Arizona-area customers.
