Inspire Brands and franchisee Grupo Cever celebrated this month Jimmy John’s arrival at its Mexico flagship location, the Mexico City campus of Tecnologico de Monterrey.

“We’re excited to bring Jimmy John’s premium ingredients and unmatched convenience to Mexico with Grupo Cever,” says Inspire International President and Managing Director Michael Haley in the release.

Jimmy John’s Mexico menu will feature 18 sandwiches, including new offerings created with international audiences in mind such as the Meatball Parmesan, Buffalo Chicken Melt and Spicy Jimmy.

This opening in Latin America comes two years after Jimmy John’s emerged as an international brand, entering its fifth international market with Mexico.

The Tecnologico de Monterrey Mexico City campus location is one of three Jimmy John’s restaurants now open in Mexico. The other two locations are at Colonia Napoles, Mexico City and the Tecnologico de Monterrey, State of Mexico campus.

Wendy’s also has turned to Mexico to grow its footprint. In January, Wendy’s announced it had accelerated its expansion plans in the country after 30 years of history there.
