John Boos Appoints New CEO, Among Others
The manufacturer’s new leader brings experience from Accurex, Heritage Foodservice Group and ITW.
Damon Childers is the new president and CEO of John Boos & Co., becoming the fourth president of the 137-year-old manufacturer.
Childers has over 25 years of industry experience, having held executive positions at Accurex, Heritage Foodservice Group and ITW.
Additionally, John Boos also has appointed Ty Jones as its vice president of business development—a role in which he will focus on identifying new markets, developing innovative sales strategies, and forming essential partnerships and acquisitions to enhance John Boos’ product offerings. In his previous positions, Jones led strategy deployment, product development, sales and enhanced business processes to support a streamlined approach to data-driven decision-making at Hoshizaki America, Welbilt and Kooler Ice.
In September, the company also hired Patrick Smith, formerly of Accurex, as its director of strategic accounts. Smith will work to elevate John Boos’ value proposition for foodservice and food retail chains by forging strategic partnerships and strengthening relationships with key sales channel partners and chain account customers.
Further, the company has added to its marketing and e-commerce teams with Lisa Bosio as the director of consumer products and strategic marketing, Samantha Gann as the director of e-commerce and digital marketing and Sarah Fisher as brand marketing manager.
“John Boos has a rich history of craftsmanship and innovation that spans well over a century, and I’m looking forward to building upon the company’s legacy with this new team,” says Childers in a release. “We are committed to upholding the tradition of producing efficient and dependable high-quality products and driving growth for our dealers, retail partners, and reps.”
John Boos manufactures cutting boards, butcher blocks and stainless kitchen equipment.
