Konala, offering health-focused protein bowls, plans to kick off its East Coast expansion with the opening of its first unit in New Jersey. The brand will partner with franchisee Anthony Menicola, who has finalized a lease at 11 Franklin Avenue in the Township of Belleville. Menicola aims to open 10 Konala units across New Jersey over the next five years.

“Anthony understands the mission and has the operational experience to bring Konala to high-demand markets in New Jersey,” says Trace Miller, co-founder of Konala, in the release. “This opening sets the tone for a strong rollout across the state.”

Founded in 2023, Konala currently operates two locations in Idaho and one store in Washington, according to its website. It offers guests a drive-thru, outdoor seating, online ordering and third-party delivery.
