Marcone has expanded its footprint in Western Canada, pointing to significant repair industry growth in the region as the reason behind the move.

The parts distributor recently opened a 48,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Calgary. Marcone says it can now ensure delivery to 90% of the Canadian population with next-day ground service.

“Western Canada has been eager for increased product distribution, particularly in the appliance repair and commercial kitchen categories,” says Peter Szachlewicz, president of Marcone in Canada, in the release.

Five years ago, Marcone’s Calgary facility was a 5,000-square-foot warehouse. As it grew, the company moved to a 12,000-square-foot distribution center. Now, Marcone says, customer demand has necessitated a 48,000-square-foot facility—a 860% size increase since 2019.

Marcone’s Canadian operations include distribution of home appliance and commercial kitchen parts nationwide. Its Canadian inventory features OEM brands such as Whirlpool, Electrolux, Bosch, Garland and Hobart.
