Midwest Burger Chain Unveils Hometown Hub
Equipment and technology play a central role in the brand's 23,000-square-foot space.
On Aug. 20, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers shared details of a new site where it plans to invent training videos, podcasts, menu additions and more.
The new Training & Innovation Center in Wichita, Kan., will house equipment and technology, as well as a simulated back-of-house restaurant.
About 100 employees will regularly work out of the space, while visitors will come for in-person training programs and conferences, potential franchisee visits and consumer focus groups.
“We’re thrilled to open the doors to our Training & Innovation Center, with a state-of-the-art design built to represent the future of the Freddy’s franchise,” says Freddy’s CEO Chris Dull. “By equipping our franchise owners and managers with the latest tools and training, we are investing in the continued success of our entire franchise system, and ensuring we maintain our commitment to quality and excellence in every location.”
The Freddy’s portfolio spans 36 states, with 533 locations, plus an additional 130 restaurants in development.
