New Owner of Mod Pizza To Accelerate Growth

Elite Restaurant Group says it will help the fast-casual brand “write the next chapter in its history.”

Mod Pizza announced July 10 that it will join Elite Restaurant Group. The new owners are “focused on accelerating growth,” according to the release.

“MOD has an outstanding culture and passionate, loyal guests and employees,” says Michael Nakhleh of Elite Restaurant Group in a statement. “We recognize the inherent value this represents and look forward to helping MOD write the next chapter in its history.”

Mod Pizza, a fast-casual brand offering pizza and salads, and its franchisees own and operate restaurants in 28 states and Canada. In recent months, Mod Pizza has implemented a plan that includes rightsizing its portfolio, refreshing its brand and further elevating guest experiences. It says it has made steady improvements to the overall business.

“MOD is a beloved brand with a strong following,” says Beth Scott, who joined Mod Pizza as CEO in January. “We’re excited to work with Elite Restaurant Group to strengthen MOD’s future.”
