Popeyes has signed deals with several regional franchisees to bring more than 300 restaurants to Mexico over the next 10 years. Star Louisiana, a long-standing Popeyes developer, has renewed its commitment to develop the brand in Jalisco in the West region. Meanwhile, Border Crunch will lead the expansion in the Northwest region, Grupo Euro, the Central region and Grupo Berny, the Southeast region.

“Mexico represents a tremendous growth opportunity for Popeyes, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with experienced and passionate franchisees who share our vision,” says Duncan Montero, LAC president of Restaurant Brands Int’l., parent company of Popeyes, in the release.

RBI, which also includes Burger King, Tim Hortons and Firehouse Subs, has over 32,000 restaurants in more than 120 countries and territories.
