Smart Care Closes 13th Acquisition Since 2022

Chicago-based Smart Care has acquired Louisville, Ky.-based Mr. C Refrigeration. The addition boosts Smart Care’s abilities in the South-Central U.S.

Mr. C joins Smart Care’s Climate Solutions business—serving grocers, warehouse operators, convenience stores and restaurants across the U.S.—which specializes in refrigeration systems. In addition to refrigeration, Mr. C services HVAC equipment.

“This is a clear win for our customers in the Central U.S., but also better positions us to support our Life Sciences customers,” says James Mylett, who was named CEO of Smart Care Solutions earlier this year.  “The addition of this reputable service organization enables us to deliver more comprehensive solutions to a broader customer base.”

Smart Care states that it will continue to seek strategic acquisition opportunities, with a focus on further expansion of geographic coverage and continued expansion into Healthcare and Life Sciences markets.
