Dallas-based Smoothie King continued to grow its store count in Q2 with 18 new store openings. During the quarter, the fast-casual brand also made 34 new store commitments.

The 18 store openings took place across markets in Georgia, Texas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Florida, New York, Kentucky, Colorado and Wisconsin. Notably, the Atlanta location is a Smoothie King kiosk inside Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. The brand’s next nontraditional unit will open this month at the Dallas Fort Worth Int’l. Airport.

Smoothie King says the new deals for the quarter were signed in eleven different states. Among these deals, the brand will enter the markets of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio, for the first time.

Smoothie King operates 1,300-plus stores worldwide. Chris Bremer, chief development officer for the brand, says in the release, “We are pleased with the continued growth of our development pipeline and our reporting this quarter exemplifies the strategic plan to extend the Smoothie King market reach and bring our product to new guests around the country.”
