Sweetgreen To Set Up Shop in Jacksonville
The restaurant will support an area nonprofit during its grand opening next week.
Sweetgreen will soon have a dozen shops in Florida, with its new 2,560-square-foot store set to open on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The fresh Florida store, located at 4624 Town Crossing Dr. in Jacksonville’s St. Johns Town Center, also marks its debut on the northeast side of the state.
Opening day guests can enter a custom surfboard sweepstakes and more. For every meal purchased that day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to Clara White Mission, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit working to prevent and reduce homelessness.
Sweetgreen’s menu includes chef-crafted salads, warm bowls and protein-forward plates, plus a newer lineup of wraps. Its fall menu features two new seasonal offerings: a maple glazed salmon plate and roasted bacon brussels side.
For select ingredients, the store will partner with Lipman Family Farms, a family-run grower with roots in Florida and a focus on sustainable farming, and Lady Moon farms, a family-owned, 100% organic grower that’s been farming organically since 1988.
“Jacksonville marks an exciting milestone for Sweetgreen as we make our debut in Northeast Florida and bring our mission to a brand-new market,” says Ryan Slemons, Sweetgreen’s chief development officer. “With its active lifestyle and appreciation for fresh, quality food, Jacksonville is a natural fit for us. We’re excited to finally open our doors in the River City and look forward to getting to know the community and becoming a part of it.”
