Unox has acquired 100% of the share capital of Roboqbo Srl, a manufacturer of food and cosmetics processing systems based in Bologna, Italy.

Unox states that the transaction will strengthen its product offering by integrating robotic and process-automation technologies into its portfolio of intelligent multifunctional ovens. Roboqbo’s flagship solution, for example, is an all-in-one processing unit that replaces a range of equipment, including mixers, cutters, meat grinders, pasteurizers and cooking vessels.

“By integrating Roboqbo’s machines with our intelligent CHEFTOP and BAKERTOP ovens, we aim to offer our customers an integrated platform capable of managing all food preparation and cooking processes,” says Nicola Michelon, CEO of Unox S.p.A., of Padua, Italy, in the release.

Roboqbo will retain its headquarters in Bologna.
