Bojangles Powers Up With First EV Charging Station
The new charging hub is the first in a planned national rollout across the Southern food chain’s key markets.
Bojangles has installed its first electric vehicle charging station, located in Savannah, Ga.
This location—developed in partnership with XLR8 America and Energy and Environmental Design Services—marks the first milestone in a larger initiative to bring EV charging infrastructure to Bojangles restaurants across the country, it says.
“Driving trends are changing, and so are the expectations that come with them,” says Richard Del Valle, chief information officer at Bojangles. “With EV charging, time becomes an asset. We’re turning that stop into something meaningful: a chance to relax, refuel and enjoy a true Bojangles experience. This is about more than charging vehicles, it’s about redefining the stop along the way.”
The Savannah charging hub is the first step in a planned national rollout for the 870-unit brand, which operates in 23 states. Stations will vary between level two (medium) and level three (high) speed charging efficiency with over 97% uptime.
