Bonrue Bakery Plans 10 Locations in Utah

Part of Savory Fund, the brand will open the units through 2027 and has hired an executive chef.

Bonrue Bakery, a European-style bakery founded in 2021, has announced plans to open 10 new locations across Utah through 2027. It plans to grow its footprint beginning in Utah County, with new locations in Provo and Orem opening later this year, as well as a central kitchen built in Springville.

Bonrue joined private equity firm Savory Fund’s portfolio in 2025. It currently has three locations, according to its website. Savory Fund’s brands also include Swig and Houston TX Hot Chicken.

Along with the expansion, Bonrue announced it appointed Emily Benson as executive chef. Benson has over two decades of experience spanning pastry and savory kitchens; her background includes owning and operating a cafe and bakery for six years. In her new role, she’ll focus on back-of-house operations, supporting menu development, refining systems and processes, and helping to scale Bonrue’s kitchen operations.
