People On The Move:

Champion Industries/Ali Group has tapped Brent Blanton as its new National Service Manager. Blanton will replace Gary Tuttle, who is retiring from the position at the end of 2015 after 44 years with the Winston-Salem, N.C., warewashing manufacturer. Blanton began his career in foodservice in 1995 as the managing partner and branch manager of Raleigh, N.C.-based National Food Equipment Services before joining Carpigiani/Ali Group as service manager in 2012. Blanton will assume his new role Jan. 1.

Melissa Figas has joined Tomlinson Industries as its new Marketing and Advertising Manager. She previously worked in sales and finance roles at McMaster-Carr Supply, a national distributor of industrial supplies, and in web content development at Midwest Retail Services, a Columbus, Ohio, distributor of retail fixtures. Also new to Tomlinson is Matt Figas, the Cleveland, Ohio, company’s newly appointed Director-Business Development and Finance. He previously worked as an investment banking analyst at League Park Advisors in the city.

Globe Food Equipment has added two members to its offices in Dayton, Ohio. Kari Fulton is the firm’s new Food Retail Business Development Manager. She joins Globe from Alto-Shaam, where she served as v.p.-retail sales. Fulton spent 13 years in restaurant, club and institutional foodservice management at the University of Iowa before joining The Barker Co., where she developed, designed and sold retail display cases to the foodservice and supermarket industries. In her new post, she reports directly to Kevin Woods, Globe’s V.P.-Sales and Marketing. Jenni Butler has joined Globe as Director-Product Management and Marketing. A 20-year veteran of the E&S industry, Butler will be responsible for managing new-product projects and developing and implementing strategic marketing plans. Butler will report to Woods on marketing issues and to Globe President Hilton Garner about product management.
