FER’s “Anatomy Of” Series Wins Top Magazine Honors

Foodservice Equipment Reports was selected as a finalist in four categories, and the winner in one, in Connectiv’s 63rd Jesse H. Neal Awards, the highest honors in business-to-business (B2B) publishing.

FER’s finalist entries included Best Technical Content, Best Instructional Content, Best Subject-Related Package, and Best Overall Art Direction/Design. At the Neal Awards luncheon, held late March at Pier Sixty in New York, Editor-in-Chief Beth Lorenzini accepted the full award for Best Instructional Content for the magazine’s Anatomy Of series. A field of more than 600 entries was whittled to 145 finalists over the course of two rounds of judging. The final winners, 32 total across the entire B2B publishing spectrum—including 13 in FER’s revenue group—were selected by the 14-member Neal Award Jury & Committee comprised of editors, publishers, journalism academics, art directors, and other content and design principals.

At press time, FER is a finalist for six of the American Society of Business Publication Editor’s AZBEE awards, four regional awards for print and design entries and two for national honors for print and design entries. The regional winners are awarded in May in Chicago; the nationals in St. Petersburg, Fla., May 18.
