Mövenpick Launches In UK

Mövenpick, the Swiss-based luxury ice-cream brand, opened its first ‘dessert boutique’ outlet in the UK in March.

The 1,333 sq.ft. store is in northeast England, in Gateshead, a large town in Tyne and Wear. The dessert boutique offers a modern setting for dine-in customers, as well as a grab-and-go counter. The menu includes coffees, affogato (drowned coffee desserts) and other desserts, and the widest range of Mövenpick ice-cream flavors in the UK. The launch is expected to be only the first of a number of boutiques across the country located in premium shopping destinations.

The site will be operated by Retailmark Group, working in joint venture with Mövenpick. The luxury ice-cream brand is managed by Froneri, a joint venture between Nestlé and R&R Ice Cream.
