New Face At Hostelco’s Helm

Rafael Olmos Font has been appointed President of the International Restaurant, Hotel and Community Equipment Exhibition, Hostelco, and is also the new president of the Spanish Federation of Hospitality and Catering Equipment Manufacturers (FELAC), the joint organizer of the event with Fira de Barcelona. Olmos takes over from Jordi Roure Boada who, after 10 years at the helm, is stepping down from the presidency of Hostelco.

Olmos is the founding partner and general manager of Zummo Innovaciones Mecánicas S.A., a maker of automatic citrus fruit juicing machines. In addition to his new post at Hostelco, he is president of the Spanish Exporting Manufacturers Association for the Hospitality Industry (AFEHC) and, since January this year, president of the Spanish Federation of Hospitality and Catering Equipment Manufacturers (FELAC).

Hostelco held its eighteenth edition in October 2016, underlining its leading position as a national and international business hub of products, knowledge and networking for its sector. Organized by Fira de Barcelona and FELAC, the nineteenth edition will be held on April 16-19, 2018 at the same time as the International Food and Drinks Exhibition, Alimentaria, at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via exhibition center.
