Groen Hits Milestone: 100,000 Steam Jacketed Kettles

Unified Brands has celebrated a milestone with the completion of the 100,000th Groen kettle produced in its Jackson, Miss., manufacturing facility. The first steam-jacketed kettle manufactured in Groen’s Jackson plant was welded in 1984 by James Hampton, who now holds the position of field services manager with Unified Brands. Thirty-three years later, employees there gathered in celebration as the 100,000th kettle was completed. Hampton participated in the ceremonial welding of the kettle's ASME serial plate, and employees posed for photos with kettle number one and kettle number 100,000.
