People On The Move

Christopher Tarantino, who has spent the past two years working closely with Bon Chef CEO/President Sal Torre to improve operations and streamline internal processes, has been promoted to Vice President at the Lafayette, N.J., manufacturer. In his new role, Tarantino serves as second-in-command under Torre overseeing Bon Chef’s entire organization. “I’m excited to have Christopher take on his new role. The hands-on experience he has gained will help me grow the company,” says Torre. The 45-year-old company supplies a broad range of products, including hot and cold servingware and equipment, dinnerware, and custom millwork.

The third generation of the Kauffmann family is taking the helm at Electric Motor Repair Co., the 90-year-old Baltimore-based service company. Caroline Kauffman-Kirschnick has been appointed President, succeeding her father, Roger Kauffman, the company’s longest-tenured employee, who was also appointed to president by his father, Harry Kauffman, in 1985. Kauffman-Kirschnick joined the company in 2003 and has moved steadily upward through the company’s departments, including operations manager of the Delaware branch and of EMR headquarters. In June 2015, she was named to her current position as general manager overseeing all branches and service areas. EMR delivers service, repair, installation and sales to the commercial kitchen, refrigeration, industrial motor, elevator and marine industries from six locations serving the mid-Atlantic region.
