Wow Bao Accelerates Automation

Wow Bao, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ steamed-buns-and-dumplings QSR concept, has licensed Eatsa’s automation technology for its sixth Chicago store, which opened in December. Since Eatsa closed all but two of its seven automated locations last fall, the chain has focused on helping other restaurants use its technology platform updating the old-fashioned, coin-operated automat with digital ordering and lighted glass delivery-window displays. Wow Bao, an early adopter of mobile and kiosk ordering, recently opened a delivery-only unit in Los Angeles.
