Globe Taps Dan Farmer to Head Up Sales and Marketing

Dan Farmer has been appointed by Globe Food Equipment Co./Middleby as vice president-sales and marketing. 

Farmer joins Globe from CookTek at TurboChef Technologies, where he was general manager. Prior to that, he served with other Middleby companies, including as regional vice-president of sales with Pitco and as U.S. director of sales and brand manager for Perfect Fry.

Eleven of Farmer’s more than 20 years in the E&S industry come from the service side of the business; he was director of business development at Commercial Parts & Service, during which time he also served on CFESA’s board of directors.

At Globe, Farmer’s responsibilities include increasing worldwide sales, managing channel relationships, and overseeing all sales and marketing operations for the Dayton, Ohio, maker of mixers, slicers and cooking equipment company. He reports directly to Globe President Kevin Woods.

“Dan’s experience will be an asset to Globe. His numerous relationships within the channel and our sales organization will allow him to hit the ground running,” Woods says. “I am excited by his energy and passion, and know he will easily assimilate with Globe’s culture.”
