The commercial foodservice equipment manufacturer Alto-Shaam has hired Brian Newland to fill the newly created role of senior vice president of national accounts.

Newland brings more than 30 years of experience in the foodservice industry to the role. Before joining Alto-Shaam, he spent 19 years at Shearer Foods, most recently serving as senior vice president of retail sales and as a member of the commercial leadership team.

In his new role with Alto-Shaam, Newland will lead and manage the national chain account team and be responsible for the strategic development of regional and national chain growth within the quick-service restaurant, supermarket retail and convenience store segments.

“I am very pleased to welcome Brian to the Alto-Shaam family,” says Lucy McQuillan, chief commercial officer, in a press release. “He joins us with a wealth of experience across the industry and a proven track record of successfully leading commercial key accounts teams.”

Newland will report directly to McQuillan.
