Ken Nakashima is the new president of sales and marketing for Autec North America, maker of commercial robotic sushi machines.

Taka Tanaka, CEO of Autec, says “We are confident his expertise will elevate our innovation and excellence across North America.”

Previously, Nakashima was the senior corporate manager for Autec Canada; in that role, his leadership helped double sales in two years by strengthening brand presence in key markets like Vancouver and Calgary, notes Autec. He first joined the foodservice industry in 2009.

With a background in marketing communications, he developed distribution channels, PR strategies and high-performing sales teams, says Autec.

“My vision is to deepen connections within the culinary community and showcase chefs’ creativity through dynamic events and collaborations,” Nakashima says. “By embracing emerging food trends and sustainability-focused advancements, we aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the sushi industry. Strengthening our digital presence will also allow us to showcase our products and celebrate the innovative, responsible growth shaping the future of foodservice.”
