Better Breakfast Concept Has Record Year

Eggs Up Grill, a better breakfast concept based in Spartanburg, S.C., says 2023 was a record year.

The brand opened a record 12 new restaurants, including its first in Texas, and signed 18 new franchise groups, adding 47 restaurants to its development pipeline. The brand is approaching 200 restaurants open, under development or committed to future development.

Sales were up 8% for the trailing 12 months. “Eggs Up Grill saw big gains in 2023 from catering sales, as well as restaurants that remodeled—some seeing double-digit sales increases—by adopting the brand’s new-generation look,” the company says in the release. “Also significant was the expansion of its product line with the addition of fryers and espresso machines.”

Coming up in 2024, Eggs Up Grill has planned 30 new restaurant openings and will enter Mississippi and Ohio for the first time.
