Bobby Flay Brings His Burger Concept to Canada
To start things off, a flagship unit in Toronto will put the fast-casual on the map in the Great White North.

Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is soaring into Canada—its first international locale—under a 65-unit, multiyear agreement with Falcon Capital Group.
“Expanding into Canada and becoming an international brand is a major milestone,” says Flay in an Aug. 26 press release. “The Falcon Capital Group brings proven expertise in brand development and retail franchising that makes them the ideal partners to bring our signature handcrafted burgers, fries and milkshakes to a new audience. I look forward to working with the accomplished team at Falcon Capital and watching our brand grow across Canada.”

Bobby’s Burgers Crunchburger, on a brioche bun, is topped with American cheese, potato chips and Bobby’s sauce.
This development agreement, led by Canadian entrepreneur and franchise executive Jim Gormley, is part of Bobby’s Burgers’ broader international and domestic expansion plans. Currently, the chain has nine locations in the U.S. and over a dozen more in development. (Last year, FER was on site as Flay cut the ribbon on the then-new flagship in Charlotte, N.C.)
“Partnering with Falcon Capital Group is an exciting step for Bobby’s Burgers,” said Michael McGill, president of Bobby’s Burgers. “With Jim Gormley’s deep experience in the Canadian market, we’re confident that our unbeatable burger experience will thrive across the country.”
