CFESA Competition Nears Final Round

On May 8, CFESA hosted Region 5’s Top Tech Throwdown—the last round prior to the national round at the association’s headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C.

Kyle Burkholder (in yellow), of Clark Service Group, won on the hot side.

Winners were Korney Sokol, of Duffy’s AIS, on the cold side and Kyle Burkholder, of Clark Service Group, on the hot side, while runner-ups were Devin Hall and Greg Meleney, both of EMR.

In addition to the freshly crowned Region 5 champions, here’s who will face off in South Carolina on Aug. 7:

• Region 1: hot side: Dave Lunsford, Commercial Appliance Service; cold side: Geoff Settle, General Parts Group
• Region 2: hot side: Lee Haney, SmartCare Solutions; cold side: Aaron Dell, SmartCare Solutions
• Region 3: hot side: Albert Dias, Commercial Kitchen Parts & Service; cold side: Stuart Reiman, Hagar Restaurant Service
• Region 4: hot side: David Imrie, Whaley Foodservice; cold side: Tim George, ATech
