Convotherm US Welcomes General Manager

Welbilt, an Ali Group company, has appointed Bill Thompson as general manager of Convotherm US, effective July 1.

Thompson has more than a decade of leadership experience at Welbilt, having joined the organization in 2012. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility across both the Convotherm and Merrychef brands. His previous positions at Convotherm include field marketing manager for North and South America, and director of product management.

Since 2023, Thompson has served as vice president of global sales for Merrychef, where he has played a role in driving global growth and strengthening customer partnerships across multiple regions.

“We are pleased to welcome Bill back to Convotherm,” says Claus Pedersen, president of Convotherm, in the release. “His deep understanding of the business, combined with his proven leadership and global perspective, position him well to lead the Convotherm US organization forward.”

Also at Welbilt, Kolpak welcomed a vice president and general manager in Todd Fenton in May.
