Culinary Equipment Group, a manufacturers’ representative based in Chicago, has hired Chef Ron Lapniewski Jr. as its new corporate chef.

Lapniewski brings a blend of sales and culinary experience to the role. He earned a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu Chicago, has experience cooking in restaurants and worked as a sales manager for a foodservice equipment manufacturer.

In his new role with Culinary Equipment Group, Lapniewski will be conducting cooking demonstrations—working with chefs in their own kitchens and at the company’s demo kitchen—and advising on the best tools and equipment based on a location’s menu. When he’s not in the kitchen, he will be out developing new business for the company.

“The addition of Chef Ron, along with [the] conveniently located demo kitchen in Addison, Ill., opens the door to help more foodservice professionals than ever before. With live cooking demos, product testing and foodservice equipment expertise at the ready, Culinary Equipment Group is fully equipped to be the primary resource for people in need of foodservice equipment,” says the company in a statement.

Founded in 2011, Culinary Equipment Group is a sales and marketing team focused on restaurants, hospitality, institutions, retail outlets and other commercial segments.
