Darden Restaurants Officially Gains New Brand

The $715 million acquisition, announced in early May, closed on June 14 and adds 155 steakhouses to the Darden portfolio.

Darden Restaurants last week completed its anticipated acquisition of Ruth’s Hospitality Group.

Darden now owns Ruth’s Chris Steak House, which has a menu featuring USDA Prime steaks served on 500-degree plates, New Orleans-inspired sides and an award-winning wine list. The chain has 155 locations, including 81 company-owned or company-operated restaurants and 74 franchised stores.

Darden Restaurants also owns Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Eddie V’s and Bahama Breeze.
