Datassential Makes Appointment Abroad

The individual will oversee strategy and operations ‘to deliver unparalleled food and beverage intelligence solutions to the European market.’

As part of industry analyst Datassential’s pursuit of establishing a stronger global footprint, Pascal Hartwig has been named its general manager of EMEA.

Hartwig previously served as the chief product officer at BeZero Carbon, a U.K.-based carbon ratings agency, and held senior leadership roles at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Hartwig has experience in financial services, data solutions, product innovation and delivering value to customers.

“Pascal’s appointment reflects Datassential’s commitment to serve the global food and beverage industry,” says Jim Emling, CEO of Datassential, in a release. “With Pascal onboard, it accelerates our ability to scale internationally, ensuring that companies across the region gain access to the same transformative insights that have redefined success in the U.S.”

In step with Hartwig’s appointment, Datassential released its first “Top Chains in Europe” report ranking the 75 biggest foodservice chains in France, the U.K., Spain, Germany and Italy.
