Deadline Approaches for CFESA Spring Scholarships

CFESA has spring scholarships available for service technicians as well as those who support them.

To be eligible, applicants must: be at least 17 years old, have obtained (or are working toward obtaining) a high school diploma or equivalent and be interested in pursuing a job in (or currently be employed in) the commercial foodservice equipment service industry. Applications for the spring scholarships are due by Monday, July 1.

Spring scholarship opportunities are as follows:

• Service Hero Scholarship: Intended for those looking to pursue a service technician role or currently employed in one may be eligible for this two-part offering, consisting of $2,500 toward education and $1,500 worth of Klein Tools (the latter of which is sponsored by AllPoints). Two scholarships are available. For the spring, additional scholarship sponsors (through the Foodservice Equipment Community Scholarship program) were Gary’s East Coast Service, Marcone and Tech24.

• Support Hero Scholarship: Those working in a support staff role at a commercial food equipment service company may be eligible for this scholarship, which offers $2,500 toward resources to further develop one’s career. Two scholarships are available.
