FAT Brands’ Wing Chain Expands Global Reach

A fast-casual model with a smaller footprint will open up doors for the brand in one European country, and perhaps beyond.

By 2026, Buffalo’s Cafe expects to open three of 10 planned fast-casual models in France in partnership with the group behind Big M CIE.

“The launch of a new Buffalo’s Cafe fast-casual model in France represents a significant milestone in our growth trajectory of the brand, and opens up the door to additional expansion opportunities,” says Taylor Wiederhorn, co-CEO and chief development officer of FAT Brands, in a May 6 press release.

The seven additional units will open over the next three years, according to the announcement.

Wiederhorn adds, “This announcement also follows Medhi Bella and his team signing a commitment to open 30 Fatburger locations across France—opening a total of 40 locations with FAT Brands. We see a bright future ahead with this partnership as we continue to grow our iconic, all-American brands in the country.”

Buffalo’s Cafe, founded in 1985 in Roswell, Ga., serves chicken wings and 18 homemade wing sauces, plus burgers, wraps, steaks and salads. It is one of 18 FAT Brands concepts.
