Flat Tech has picked up foodservice industry veteran Joe Fera as its new vice president of national accounts.

Fera, who previously held senior leadership positions at Edward Don and Co., Edlund, Clipper Corp. and Mercer Culinary, will begin on Oct. 4 and be responsible for service and growth across the company’s portfolio of national accounts.

“Having the right people in key roles to support our continued growth strategy is critical,” says Flat Tech CEO Barry Mancell in a press release. “Joe possesses a wealth of experience in key markets, and we’re delighted to have him join our team.”

In addition to supporting Flat Tech’s existing national accounts, Fera will be introducing the company to multiunit operators across the U.S.

The Schaumburg, Ill.-based Flat Tech has invented, patented, manufactured and commercialized hydraulic technologies with stabilization and alignment capabilities. This technology is integrated into a range of Flat table bases, which stabilize and allow users to align multiple tabletops.
