With efficiency, customer service and expanded distribution capabilities in mind, Diversified Foodservice Supply is branching out.

Last month, DFS transitioned into a new, 153,000-square-foot distribution center in Vernon Hills, Ill., consolidating two former Illinois facilities (Mt. Prospect and Wheeling) into the larger space. The expansion will support a significant expansion to the DFS product stocked parts, smallwares and accessories for customers in the Midwest, says a press release.

Further, by the end of the first quarter of 2024, the company expects to expand into the Southwest, opening a 100,000-square-foot distribution center in Mesa, Ariz.

Both new warehouses will service DFS brands AllPoints and TundraFMP, and offer walk-up and will-call ordering.

DFS says the larger distribution network also will enable faster shipping and service by more than one transit day, with enhanced opportunities for same-day shipping on a broader assortment of products.

Diversified Foodservice Supply serves over 250,000 foodservice customer locations worldwide. DFS product brands include Mavrik (parts), Franklin (supplies) and KNG (apparel).
