Horizon Equipment Names Ryan Smith President

Horizon Equipment, based in Eagan, Minn., has promoted Ryan Smith to president. Smith has served the dealership for 13 years and most recently held the role of vice president.

“Throughout his tenure at Horizon, Smith has demonstrated strategic vision and operational expertise that have been pivotal in navigating the company through significant expansions,” the release says. “His deep understanding of the equipment sector, combined with exceptional leadership skills, has been instrumental in Horizon’s sustained success.”

Before joining Horizon, Smith held the position of regional manager at Whole Foods.

“Horizon Equipment has been at the forefront of the industry, and I am honored to take on this role,” Smith says. “I look forward to continuing our trajectory of success, collaborating with our dedicated team, and driving innovation to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

As part of the leadership transition, Tracy Smith, who has served as the dealership’s president for the past 21 years, will assume the role of CEO.
