In Memoriam: Richard ‘Dick’ Maslow of Metro

Maslow held leadership roles at Metro, founded by his father, as well as at NAFEM.

NAFEM has shared news of the passing  of Richard “Dick” Maslow on March 20. Maslow was the first second-generation NAFEM member to serve as president (1978). His father, Louis Maslow, also served as NAFEM president (1964-1965).

During a 40-year career at InterMetro Industries (Metro) in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., which was founded by his father, Maslow served as president, CEO and chairman of the board until he sold the company in 1994. He also served as chairman of the Wilkes-Barre advertising company Maslow, Lumia, Bartorillo, Inc.

Maslow is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, of 61 years, and his son, Douglas. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer, Hilary, Melanie (Chip), Allison (Margie) and Leslie, as well as many grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Maslow’s memory may be sent to the Avow Foundation in Naples, Fla.
