In Memoriam: Rüdiger “Rudi” Flik, founder of FLIK Hospitality Group

Rüdiger “Rudi” Flik died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 27, following a battle with cancer.

“Rudi was an industry leader, growing his company alongside his wife and partner, Julie Flik, from a single location into an organization operating in 43 states,” says an announcement from SHFM. “Rudi was passionate about educating students and was the beginning driving force behind SHFM student efforts and the early School-to-Career Committee which has now evolved into the SHFM Foundation. SHFM owes our long history of supporting the future of the industry to Rudi Flik.”
