JK Adams manufactures wooden carving boards, among other products, for chefs and home cooks alike. Its products are made by hand in Vermont using sustainably harvested North American hardwood.

Butcher block and cutting board manufacturer John Boos & Co. has added JK Adams to its portfolio.

JK Adams manufactures cutting boards, serving trays and kitchen organizers, and, like John Boos, is dedicated to sustainable practices and traditional woodworking techniques.

John Boos will retain JK Adams’ headquarters and staff in Dorset, Vt., where the company has operated since 1944. John Boos, meanwhile, has maintained its headquarters in Effingham, Ill., since 1887.

The change allows product diversification, shared resources, collaborative innovation and further eco-friendly initiatives, says John Boos.

“JK Adams’ strong reputation in the culinary industry and its trusted food preparation products make the brand a seamless addition to John Boos,” says John Boos CEO and President Damon Childers. “We are excited to harness the brand’s expertise and continue our shared commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability.”
