KPS Global, Everidge Merge
KPS Global, primarily serving large food retailers, will boost its foodservice focus with Everidge.
Fort Worth, Texas-based KPS Global announced today, Jan. 30, that it has formed a strategic partnership with Everidge. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Financial details weren’t disclosed.
KPS Global offers custom enclosure solutions for controlled environments and primarily serves large food retailers. Everidge, based in Plymouth, Minn., provides commercial cold storage, walk-in coolers/freezers, cold storage doors, mobile cold storage and cook-chill specialty solutions, with a focus on foodservice, convenience stores, regional grocers and controlled environments.
KPS Global states in the release that the partnership with Everidge will help better serve customers and employees, and allow it to expand its product offerings. The two companies will combine their manufacturing facilities—Everidge’s six, and KPS Global’s five—to manufacture closer to customer locations and reduce customer freight costs. Plus, KPS Global will have access to Everidge’s dealer network, while Everidge will benefit from KPS Global’s installation services.
As part of the transaction, Everidge’s owners, the Kahler family, will become a significant minority shareholder in KPS Global and have representation on the Board of Directors. Chris, Mike and Stephen Kahler will join the executive team.
