Marcone Appoints Human Resources Leader

Marcone Group, a North American distributor of appliance, HVAC, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and pool and spa parts and equipment, has announced that Kate Sberna has been named chief human resources officer. She will oversee employment for Marcone’s team of 2,500.

Sberna has more than 25 years of experience in leading talent development and acquisition, as well as total rewards and implementing workforce strategies related to leadership development, performance management, employee engagement and succession planning.

Most recently, she served as chief people officer for the real estate investment company Venterra Realty. Prior to that, she held roles at United Site Services, Sterling Construction and Aggreko.

“Kate brings decades of experience in leading global HR organizations and will be instrumental in strengthening engagement and building our culture,” says CEO Asterios Satrazemis in the release.
