Marcos Pizza Local Sign

Marco’s Pizza has announced several expansion updates. To start, the Toledo, Ohio-based brand has opened 41 new stores in the first half of 2025. If current trends continue, the brand says in a release, it’s poised for a 28% year-over-year increase in new store openings.

“We entered 2025 with momentum from a very intentional development strategy—and that pipeline is now turning into stores,” says Gerardo Flores, chief development officer of Marco’s Pizza.

Also of note, Marco’s rehired Joe Stephens earlier this year as vice president of real estate. He has already spent 13 years with the brand and has experience accelerating store openings in key markets.

On a global level, Marco’s has reached two milestones—marking one year since opening its first location in Mexico and 10 years of operations in Puerto Rico. The Mexico team is on pace to have up to four total locations open in in the country by year-end.

Marco’s operates more than 1,200 stores in 35 states with locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and Mexico.
