The Middleby Corp. is adding to its growing beverage portfolio by acquiring Marco Beverage Systems, a manufacturer of energy-efficient commercial coffee and water systems.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, Marco has been manufacturing for more than 40 years, serving customers in the coffee, foodservice and catering industries. The company has annual revenues of $30 million, according to Middleby.

The Marco product line expands Middleby’s offerings in coffee brewers, cold brew dispensers and a variety of hot, cold and sparkling water dispensers, along with adding touchless and in-counter dispensing technology.

“Marco is a leader in innovative beverage dispensing systems … Touchless and in-counter dispense technology is rapidly gaining popularity due to space and labor advantages, along with enhanced aesthetic features. Marco is well-positioned with solutions for these growing trends,” says Tim FitzGerald, Middleby CEO, in a press release.

Earlier this year, Middleby acquired South Korea-based Icetro, a maker of ice, soft serve and slush machines.
