Hicksville, Ohio-based Nemco Food Equipment is taking its holding products to the plate-prep assembly line with the acquisition of the food equipment manufacturer Meister Cook.

With the acquisition, Nemco gains Meister Cook’s Hot Hold series of dry/moist food warmers. Nemco says labor-strapped operators are looking to find efficiencies through solutions such as food warmers on the plate-prep line for faster order fulfillment without sacrificing food quality.

“We’d been looking to expand into this kind of food-holding application for some time, as many of our customers continue to express a growing market need for a new solution here,” says Nemco President Michelle Wibel in a press release. “Meister Cook’s Hot Hold is a great performer and a great fit for us. We couldn’t be more thrilled to add this capability to our product offering.”

Wibel says Nemco, which specializes in food prep and countertop equipment solutions, plans to further develop the features and capacity range of the Hot Hold line.
