Next Wednesday, June 19, Scott Davis will settle in as the chief concept officer at Noodles & Co.

Davis most recently served as the president and chief concept officer at CoreLife Eatery, a 46-unit concept offerings bowls with greens or grains as a base.

He also previously worked as Panera Bread’s chief concept officer. There, Davis led culinary development, category management, restaurant design and sustainability efforts. Some traffic-driving innovations he was involved in include Panera’s first bagel program, panini sandwiches, entree salads, the “secret menu” and free Wi-Fi, notes the press release. He also drafted the initial version of Panera’s Food Policy document.

Davis began his career in operations at Carrol’s Corp. before joining Au Bon Pain as a general manager.

“We believe Scott’s experience evolving established restaurant chains at scale, plus his most recent experience helping create and grow a new fast-casual startup concept, are exactly the skills we need to help strengthen brand relevance through the core menu and LTO innovation and drive sustained, profitable growth at Noodles,” says Noodles & Co. CEO Drew Madsen.
