Publisher’s Note: 30 Years of FER

The year ahead is sure to be memorable as FER journeys—first to Florida, then toward its 30th anniversary.

As I write this note, I’m busy applying suntan lotion in preparation for our Multiunit Foodservice Equipment Symposium, happening Feb. 2-4 in warm and sunny Clearwater Beach, Fla.! It’s going to be a big one; I look forward to greeting everyone personally.

I can’t believe how quickly 2025 flew by! 2026 is a very big year for the team at FER as it marks 30 years that we have been highlighting what’s hot, new and exciting in our industry. When our team conceptualized what Foodservice Equipment Reports should be to give the most value to the industry, it was modeled on one idea—that strong technical knowledge and information you needed to consider when making back-of-house equipment purchasing decisions was paramount. I’m happy to say that mantra has carried over the past 30 years and is what the team thinks about each and every day. There are no fluff pieces here, just pure, curated content with your best interest in mind.

Our 30th year will be celebrated in our September/October issue and as part of that celebration, we are excited to be adding a big new event into the mix. Stay tuned for more information. You won’t want to miss it!

Whether you have been with us from Day 1 or are newer to the industry, thank you for your support, your tips and your feedback. As we have grown our magazine, our newsletters, our social media and our digital agency specializing in the foodservice equipment space, we feel like we have been growing alongside all of you.
