Manufacturers’ rep firm Rep Concepts recently celebrated the opening of its showroom. Located in Naperville, Ill., the facility displays equipment, including holding cabinets, shelving, microwaves and blenders, along with tabletop and smallwares. It also includes a kitchen, meeting spaces, an office and a small warehouse.

Stephanie O’Donoghue, principal of Rep Concepts, who started the company in 2010, says the showroom offers a space for dealers and operators to learn about products firsthand. Prior to the new showroom, the company operated from an office-only space a couple of miles away.

“The vision was to create a unique venue that dealers, end users and factories could use to collaborate, to learn, or even create a foodservice operation from the ground up, and have the products and tools at their fingertips,” O’Donoghue says. “It’s more of an industry event space than a showroom.”

Rep Concepts provides services to Illinois, Wisconsin and Northwest Indiana. Earlier this year, the firm announced the hiring of Phil Tondelli as vice president of business development. He previously served as senior director of national accounts at Fetco.
