Omaha, Neb.-based Scooter’s Coffee is raising a cup to one of its largest multiunit development agreements yet.

Announced April 30, the agreement with Boddie-Noell Enterprises totals 31 units spanning key markets in North Carolina and Virginia. Rocky Mount, N.C.-based Boddie-Noell also operates 317 Hardee’s units across four U.S. states.

Currently, there are 14 locally owned and operated Scooter’s Coffee locations in North Carolina, and these locations would be among the first Scooter’s Coffee units in Virginia.

“Boddie-Noell Enterprises is exactly the type of partner we look for as we continue to scale Scooter’s Coffee across the country,” says Tim Arpin, chief growth officer at Scooter’s Coffee. “Their disciplined approach to operations, commitment to team culture, and proven ability to grow multiunit brands make them an ideal partner to introduce and expand Scooter’s Coffee in these markets.”

Scooter’s Coffee currently has over 900 locations across 32 states, most of which are owned and operated by franchisees.

Also this week, beverage brand Swig announced a 25-unit development agreement.
