Scooter’s Coffee Snags Former RBI Exec To Lead Growth

Omaha, Neb.-based Scooter’s Coffee has hired Patrick Coelho as chief development officer to accelerate brand growth and elevate franchisee success.

Coelho will work to grow the brand through real estate, construction, design/architecture, analytics, market planning and overall expansion of new stores in existing and new markets. He also will enhance Scooter’s Coffee’s drive-thru kiosk concept and franchise model.

Coelho joins the coffee chain from Restaurant Brands Int’l., where he worked for over seven years in leadership positions in development, supply chain, finance, field operations and real estate. He was head of development for Burger King Americas and, before that, was head of finance for Burger King U.S. and Canada.

“His commitment to speed, consistency, innovation and authentic approach to relationships will ensure Scooter’s Coffee provides a world-class customer interaction and further fortify the continued success of its franchisees,” says Scooter’s Coffee in a press release.

Scooter’s Coffee is approaching its 500th store and has locations in 24 states.
