
In September, at its national conference in Palm Springs, Calif., SHFM announced Amy Lewis, of Kitchens to Go, as the recipient of Bob Pacifico Above & Beyond Award and Stephanie Gilbert, of Food Service Holdings, as the recipient of the President’s Award.
The Bob Pacifico Award is given annually to a Supplier Member in recognition of extended, exemplary and dedicated service to the society, his or her community, and the workplace hospitality and amenities industry. The President’s Award, meanwhile, honors someone who has been instrumental in the career of SHFM’s president, assisted the president throughout their term or served the organization as a whole and dedicated time to betterment of SHFM.

The group also presented SHFM Directors’ Awards, which were previously announced at events throughout the year. Recipients were as follows:
- Community Service Award: Ellen Wilson and the Aramark Salute Team
- Spirit Award: Joe Esteves, Sodexo
- Rising Young Professional Award: Sherri Silverstein, UBS
- Leadership Award: Raquel Weiss Fusco, elite | suite e
- Richard Ysmael Distinguished Service Award: Joe Ganci, Sodexo
- Jay B. Silverstein Lifetime Achievement Award: Mark Freeman, DayOne Hospitality Consulting
Lastly, SHFM recognized Innovation Showcase exhibitors with “the most innovative product or service” and “presentation featuring new and/or future forward ideas.” A juried panel selected Dispatch Goods for the former and The Fruit Guys for the latter. Conference attendees then selected People Choice recipients, which were: 50/50 Foods for the most innovative product or service and Vivreau for the most forward-thinking table display.
